Legislation

Legislative information in FINLEX is organized in six databases. The database of translations of Finnish acts and decrees contains translations of Finnish Acts of Parliament (mostly in English). The consolidated texts of acts and decrees in (Finnish and in Swedish) and the original texts of acts and decrees are in separate databases. The reference database of legislation includes a list of changes made on any act or decree. All Sámi language acts and decrees are also available. The most recent acts are found daily in the Electronic Statutes of Finland.

Legislation

Translations of Finnish acts and decrees
The database of translations of Finnish acts and decrees into other languages contains appr. 300 full-text translations of Finnish Acts of Parliament (mostly in English), for the rest of translations it provides reference information on the availability of a translated text.
Consolidated legislation
The consolidated texts of acts and decrees in Finnish and in Swedish are available in databases which are updated weekly.
Original texts of acts and decrees
In addition, a document database includes the original texts of all acts and decrees published in the Statutes of Finland since 1987 and a compilation of acts and decrees published before 1987 (in Finnish and in Swedish).
Reference database of legislation
A comprehensive reference database of legislation includes a list of changes made on any act or decree published in the Statutes of Finland since the year 1734.
A database in Sámi language
A unique database of all Sámi language acts and decrees published in the Statutes of Finland.
Electronic Statutes of Finland
The most recent acts are found in the Electronic Statutes of Finland, with all acts and decrees published in the Statutes of Finland since 1995, with the same lay-out as in the printed version, in PDF.
